A hand-painted handleless ceramic tumbler banded in fine horizontal stripes of black and sky blue, interrupted by loose yellow discs that read as suns, or yolks, or lemons, depending on what is in the cup. It is the brightest piece in the collection, suiting a morning coffee and an afternoon nimbu pani equally, and it looks best on a table with light on it. Slip-cast, so all four match in shape and volume; the stripes are ruled by hand and the discs land where the brush put them.
