A sculpted ceramic serving platter in the shape of a broad cabbage leaf, with a lobed waved edge, a central rib running the length of the well, and branching veins raised in pale green against a deep pooling green glaze. It is the only piece in the collection that is not a fruit, and the only one where the glaze does the work rather than the brush: the green gathers dark in the recesses between veins and thins to almost translucent along the raised edges, settling differently on every firing. It is the piece that sits under everything else.
